Fall/Winter 2018

The very first FW collection from Hanh Merriman draws from a source of poignant, and sentimental inspiration. Merriman developed the collection’s color palette as a visual chronicle of shared memories with her family during their frequent trips to enjoy the sumptuous fall colors of New York’s Central Park.  With direct allusions to the spectrum of autumnal hues of fall foliage, the collection’s curated color palette features a luxuriant range of vibrant burnt oranges, muted ambers, and deep forest greens.

Emphasizing the use of lush fabrics such as fine wool, along with cashmere and silk blends, the collection achieves an organic, yet refined, composition with deliberate raw finishes, and methodic tulle accenting.  Asymmetrical silhouettes, rich draping fabrics, and Merriman’s signature structured shapes intersect to create an elegant array of pieces, flattering to the female form. Complementing bold color blocking with strategically placed striped and geometric patterns, Merriman delivers a fall collection that is bold, and provocative, yet maintains a practical versatility of use, allowing each piece to be worn from day, to night.
